Welcome to my blog page! This is where I will delve into the field of ‘medtech’ and help explain the concepts behind it and how exactly they are relevant to those in the medical profession.

I will go over the basics of some of the new technologies and have particular focus on areas in medicine they will impact the most

Tech, computer science, AI …. these can all feel… daunting. Especially to medics who can really struggle to understand these concepts. I would know I am one of them! I can happily sit and learn the RAAS system but understanding what natural language processing is feels like i’m reading an alien language.

So thats why I started this – to share what I learn and help others along the way. I feel that clinicians need to get more involved in the medical technology world and that they want to! I want to bridge the gap between clinical facing professionals and the technologies that are trying to change how they work.

Only by understanding these newer technologies can we trust them and use them in our practice. And if you feel inspired then maybe you will even find ways to be part of it!
